By increasing their internal transparency & alignment, Blexr gained a clear-cut view of their portfolio, program and team roadmap which subsequently led to greater customer satisfaction.

Product quality increased more than 75% by achieving Live Agile (through newly found team dedication and the elimination of defects due to the introduction of MVP feedback).

Approach

Continuous improvement of the existing agile teams

Achieved agile training and practices of team members (external and internal), including additional training on agile tools which enabled the option of remote working.

Introduced new techniques in achieving the 6 main agile ceremonies: PI Planning, Backlog Grooming, Planning Meeting, Daily Scrum (DSU), Review Meeting (or Demo) and Retrospectives.

We used software engineering partners to help augment the teams, accelerate delivery and provide expertise in certain technology areas.

We implemented several different engagement strategies ad hoc depending on where we were in the development process.

Managed Product Development

Provided specialized training and best practices to the Product Owners, which optimized the management of the product development cycles including an outsourcing model, where Blexr had a product idea but lacked either the technology needed or the IT capability for full-cycle software development.

Trained stakeholders in the implementation of Valuable Management Team (VMT) for both internal and external consultants who support the teams in meeting their objectives.

In this model, Blexr provided the high-level vision for the product, and the outsourcing partner implemented the rest.

Implemented via Program Increment’s (PI) each being 12 weeks long and followed by Innovation and Planning (IP) iterations.

SAFe Agile

Successfully completed specialized training in best practices with the Scrum Masters and together we created and implemented an Agile Center of Excellence for Blexr

The Continuous Improvement Workshops facilitated their value stream identification (implemented in part via agile tools) and defined Blexr’s Agile Release Trains (ART), which was implemented ahead of time.

The above ART’s provided the foundation and structure for the continuous improvement of Communities of Practice (CoP).

The outcome of achieving Live Agile implementation created the opportunity for further innovation which resulted in new business portfolio assets.
