Your goal will now be to create assets, by launching internal incubators to primarily develop new markets. This will help in identifying emerging trends and to match those trends with the right technology. The incubation experience will enable your teams to retain their intrapreneurial mindset and understanding of purchasing dynamics.
Your program & portfolio level is where development teams, stakeholders, and other resources are devoted to some important, ongoing system development mission. Here the ART metaphor describes the program level teams, roles, and activities that incrementally deliver a continuous flow of value. ART’s are virtual organizations formed to span functional boundaries, eliminate unnecessary handoffs and steps, and accelerate value delivery by implementing Scalable Lean-Agile principles and practices.
Agile Teams
Each ART is composed of no less than 7 Agile teams (from 55 people upwards) and includes the roles and infrastructure necessary to deliver fully working and tested software and systems.

Setting up your Agile Center of Excellence
Continuous Improvement Training by conducting or sourcing training for executives, stakeholders, managers, leaders, agile teams and specialty roles such as product owners, product managers, scrum masters and release train engineers.
Continuous improvement workshops facilitating value stream identification (using supporting toolkits) and helping define and launch Agile Release Trains (ART’s).
Providing continuous improvement of Communities of Practice (CoP’s).
Continuous Improvement of the Program Increments (PI’s)
Is a timebox in which ART delivers incremental value. PI’s are typically 8 – 12 weeks long and the most common pattern for a PI is four development Iterations.
